Giving A Helping Hand Where We Can
Hands of Hope Initiative provides support to homeless community throughout the Metro Atlanta Areas.
Hands Of Hope: Homeless Support Initiative
The Hands of Hope: Homeless Support Initiative seeks to provide compassionate care and direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Metro Atlanta. Through collaboration with community partners, we aim to meet immediate needs, build meaningful connections, and inspire hope while fostering community responsibility and collective action.
A Shared Vision of Support
The Hands of Hope: Homeless Support Initiative is a partnership between Maryam Shumate’s Dream Big Corp, The AON Initiative, Omni Abba Church, Mu Phi Sigma Percussion Fraternity, and The Salvation Army in McDonough, GA. This bi-monthly outreach program serves individuals experiencing homelessness by providing essential services such as food, clothing, hygiene products, and spiritual support. The initiative's mission is to address immediate needs, promote a sense of dignity, and foster meaningful relationships within the homeless community through ongoing, collaborative efforts.

Support Our Growth
The Hands of Hope Initiative has been actively serving the homeless community in Metro Atlanta, demonstrating our commitment to providing essential services to those in need. Through out past events on July 6, 2024, and August 3, 2024, we successfully reached out to over 200 individuals, providing not only food and fresh fruits but also essential non-perishable items like socks and hygiene products. While these contributions have made a significant impact, the scope of need within the homeless community extends far beyond what we've currently managed to address.
We believe there is substantial potential to expand our services and increase our impact. To achieve this, we are actively seeking partnerships with corporations and charities that have dedicated programs or initiatives aimed at supporting the homeless. Collaboration is essential for amplifying our efforts, and by joining forces, we can extend our reach and provide even more comprehensive support to those in need.
If your organization is committed to making a difference in the lives of homeless individuals, we encourage you to connect with us. We are particularly interested in partnering with entities that can enhance our logistics, supply chain, and outreach capabilities, thereby increasing the efficiency and scale of our operations.
